¿A quién está dirigido este curso? Who should attend? 
Este curso está dirigido a profesores de instrumentos de cuerda, a estudiantes avanzados interesados en la pedagogía, así como a todas aquellas personas interesadas en su contenido. This workshop is for string teachers and advanced students with an interest in pedagogy, as well as anybody interested in its content.

Descripción Description:

Este curso ayudará a los profesores de cuerda a comprender y experimentar los principios plasmados por el contrabajista, profesor y conferenciante Barry Green en su libro mundialmente conocido The Inner Game of Music (El juego interior de la música), que promueve un estado mental de concentración relajada y fue desarrollado en colaboración con el autor de The Inner Game of Tennis (El juego interior del tenis) Timothy Gallwey. 

Barry también compartirá con nosotros las ideas de sus libros también fundamentales Bringing Music to Life, que aplica los conceptos de The Inner Game al cuerpo, y Mastery of Music, donde el autor aborda las cualidades que conforman una gran personalidad artística. Se hará hincapié en la aplicación de estos conceptos a nuestro trabajo como profesores de cuerda.

La sesión se desarrollará de la siguiente manera:

Primera hora

  • Charla y demostraciones de The Inner Game of Music.
  • Teoría de Juego Interior y Estado de Concentración Relajada.
  • Ejercicios en grupo, demostración de las voces del Juego Interior. 
  • Presentación de técnicas de concienciación.
  • Demostración individual nº 1.

Segunda hora

  • Continuación con demostración de las habilidades de compromiso y confianza.
  • Vídeo, debate y demostración individual nº 2: compromiso/voluntad.
  • Demostración en vídeo, ejercicios en grupo de conceptos de confianza: belleza, emoción, juego de roles.
  • Demostración individual nº 3: habilidades de confianza.

Tercera hora

  • Demostraciones individuales adicionales de Juego Interior: la conciencia, el compromiso y la confianza.
  • Debate sobre las instrucciones de concienciación en comparación con las instrucciones de acción.
  • Introducción a Bringing Music to Life:
  • El Juego Interior para el cuerpo.
  • Dominio de las habilidades de respiración, pulso y movimiento.

Cuarta hora

  • Preguntas y respuestas sobre The Inner Game y Bringing Music to Life.
  • Utilización de estos conceptos en la enseñanza, la práctica y la interpretación.
  • Demostraciones adicionales en directo.
  • Recursos adicionales con los conceptos incluidos en The Mastery of Music:
  • Pasión, disciplina, creatividad, tolerancia, humildad, etc.
  • Stringersize para músicos de cuerda: pedagogía con recursos online.
  • Resumen y conclusión.

Se recomienda encarecidamente a los participantes que tengan sus instrumentos a mano y se pedirán voluntarios para realizar ejemplos individuales basados en fragmentos de uno o dos minutos de piezas que conozcan bien y puedan tocar con comodidad.

This workshop will help string teachers understand and experience the principles explained by bassist, teacher and clinician Barry Green in his world-famous book The Inner Game of Music, which promotes a mental state of relaxed concentration and was developed in collaboration with author of The Inner Game of Tennis Timothy Gallwey. 

Barry will also share with us the ideas in his other fundamental books Bringing Music to Life, which applies the concepts of The Inner Game to the body, and Mastery of Music, where the author deals with the qualities that make up a great artistic personality. Emphasis will be placed on the application of these concepts to our work as teachers.

The session will unfold as follows:

Hour ONE

  • Lecture Demonstrations with The Inner Game of Music.
  • Inner Game Theory and State of Relaxed Concentration.
  • Group exercises, demo of Inner Game voices.
  • Presentation of Awareness techniques.
  • Individual solo demonstration #1.

Hour TWO

  • Continue demonstration of master skills of Commitment and Trust.
  • Video and discussion and individual demonstration Commitment/Will #2.
  • Video demonstration, group exercises of Trust concepts: beauty, excitement, role play.
  • Individual demonstratrion #3 for Trust skills.

Hour THREE

  • Additional solo Inner Game demonstrations of Awareness, Commitment and Trust.
  • Discussion of Awareness Instructions compared to Do Instructions.
  • Introduction to Bringing Music to Life:
  • The Inner Game for the Body.
  • Master skills of Breath, Pulse and Movement.

Hour FOUR

  • Q & A of Inner Game and Bringing Music to Life.
  • Using these concepts in teaching, practicing and performance.
  • Additional live demonstrations from individuals.
  • Additional resources including The Mastery of Music concepts of:
  • Passion, discipline, creativity, tolerance, humility, etc.
  • Stringersize for string players-pedagogy with online resources.
  • Summary and conclusion.

Participants are strongly encouraged to have their instruments at hand and volunteers will be asked for individual demonstrations based on excerpts of one or two minutes from pieces they know well and can play comfortably.

Certificado Certificate: 
Para obtener un certificado de asistencia será necesario asistir al curso en directo y encontrarse frente a la cámara activada al menos un 80% del total del tiempo. To obtain a certificate of attendance it is necessary to attend the workshop live and to be in front of the active camera for at least 80% of the total time.

3.
