Born in Calatayud, he works as a pianist and fortepianist specializing in improvisation in historical styles. His work includes the completion of Mozart's unfinished works, improvised ornamentation, varied repetitions, and cadence improvisation. He was recently honored by the Festival de Musique Improvis\u00e9e de Lausanne (Switzerland), the first international festival dedicated to classical improvisation, for his contribution to the study of cadenzas in Mozart's piano and orchestra concertos. He has performed as a soloist in Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Slovenia, and the Netherlands, and has received awards from the Government of Aragon and the Ibercaja and BBVA foundations.<\/h5>
Interested in historically informed performance, he worked with Stefania Neonato in Stuttgart and became the first fortepianist to offer a completely improvised concert in the Mozartian style. In his performances, he combines suggestions from the audience with original fragments by Mozart, completing works such as Fantasia K. Anh. 32 and Variations K. Anh. 38. He has collaborated with museums such as the Haus der Musik at the Landesmuseum W\u00fcrttemberg and participated in silent film projects, accompanying films by Buster Keaton and W. F. Murnau. Some of his performances have been recorded by SWR2 Stuttgart and Spanish television stations.<\/h5>
Trained at the CPMZ with Rub\u00e9n Lorenzo and at the ESMUC with Ram\u00f3n Coll and M\u00aa Jes\u00fas Crespo, he holds master's degrees in Musical Performance and Research (Valencia) and Teacher Training (Zaragoza), and has a PhD cum laude<\/em> in Art History and Musicology (Oviedo). He later furthered his training in improvisation with Juan de la Rubia, Karst de Jong, and Noam Sivan (HMDK Stuttgart), where he graduated with highest honors in the Master's Degree in Piano Improvisation.<\/h5>
With more than fifteen years of teaching experience, he has taught at the Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de Arag\u00f3n and the ESMUC, and has given masterclasses at institutions such as the HFM Freiburg, HFM Munich, HFM Stuttgart, ESML Lisbon, Conservatori Superior del Liceu, etc. In 2019, he became the first professor to join the Faculty of Music in the specialty of Improvisation and Accompaniment, and he currently teaches at the Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica de Murcia.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
