\u00c1lvaro Llorente is a cellist and pedagogue whose professional career has been shaped by a deep commitment to the instrumental and artistic development of his students, combining his work as a teacher with an active career as a performer.<\/h5>
Since 2017, he has taught at several music conservatoires in the Madrid region. He is currently a faculty member at the Teresa Berganza Conservatoire in Madrid. His interest in music education led him, together with Andr\u00e9s Ortiz, to found CEPIC (Centro para la Pedagog\u00eda de los Instrumentos de Cuerda) in 2013. Through CEPIC, he has had the opportunity to engage directly with the ideas of internationally renowned pedagogues, which have had a profound influence on his teaching approach.<\/h5>
As a performer, he has shared the stage with distinguished musicians including Alessio Bax, Asier Polo, Lina Tur Bonet, Leticia Moreno, Daniel del Pino and David Quiggle. He has performed in concert halls throughout Spain, as well as touring the United States\u2014including New York, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Newport\u2014and Scotland, with performances in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. In 2011, he made his debut as soloist at the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, performing with the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Sebasti\u00e1n Marin\u00e9. He was also principal cello of the orchestra from 2010 to 2017.<\/h5>
His commitment to musical innovation and his passion for culture have also led him to become actively involved in contemporary music and interdisciplinary projects. He has performed with ensembles such as Rubik Ensemble and ArTeil Ensemble, appearing at festivals including the Festival of Sacred Art of the Madrid region, the COMA Festival and the MusaE series of Spain\u2019s National Institute of the Performing Arts and Music (INAEM). His work also extends to collaborations with other artistic disciplines, including theatre and dance. He has performed at the International Classical Theater Festival in Almagro, Teatros del Canal, Teatro de la Abad\u00eda, the Prado National Museum, the Reina Sof\u00eda Museum and the Movistar Arena. He has also explored other musical genres, including jazz, singer-songwriter music and progressive rock, recording several albums with different ensembles. He currently collaborates with Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid's Foundation (FUAM), performing concerts with various groups in hospitals throughout the Madrid region.<\/h5>
\u00c1lvaro Llorente began his musical training at the Teresa Berganza Conservatoire in Madrid before continuing his studies at Musikene, the Basque Country's Conservatoire, where he studied with Asier Polo and Dami\u00e1n Mart\u00ednez. He has also received lessons from distinguished cellists including Mar\u00eda Casado, Amit Peled, Enrico Dindo, Maximilian Hornung, Gustav Rivinius and Claudio Boh\u00f3rquez. In 2008, he received an Honourable Mention at the Ciudad de San Sebasti\u00e1n International Competition in the chamber music category. His chamber music experience includes working with members of internationally renowned string quartets such as the Casals Quartet, Quiroga Quartet, Borodin Quartet and \u00c9b\u00e8ne Quartet.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
